Kris Tassell (born 16 September 1973 in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia) is a professional rugby league footballer who at representative level has played for Wales, and at club level for Canberra Raiders, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, North Queensland Cowboys, Salford City Reds, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, and Swinton Lions, playing at Fullback, Wing, or Centre, i.e. number 1, 2 or 5, or 3 or 4.[1]
Kris Tassell won caps for Wales while at Salford City Reds, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Swinton Lions 2000…2004 11-caps 6-tries 24-points.[2]
Kris Tassell played in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup for Wales and won man of the match honours in the first round game versus the Cook Islands in which he scored a hat trick. He further added to his tryscoring tally in the semi-final game against Australia where a vailiant Wales team gave Australia their biggest scare of the tournament going down valiantly in the last 20 minutes of the game after having led most of the game.
